The church's façade is very linear as opposed to a typical baroque interior. The plant is a Latin cross and the apse is a rose window that recalls the "Glory of Bernini" made in St. Peter's in Rome.
The main works preserved inside remembers the painting by Maratta -which depicts Saints Luke, Michael, James, Peter and pauline the high altar, which is made of a fine example of Roman sarcophagus, which contains the body of San Sisto, and the gravestone of Cornelius Vanicelli died in 1494.
Noteworthy is also the organ made by Angelo and Nicholas Morettini, which has been restored thanks to the Pious Union of St. Anthony Abbot and to the contributions of the City of Monterotondo, Lazio Region and the Province of Rome.
