It is an archaeological site that preserves a stretch of paved road, which was the old road that led from Nomentum to Eretum. Excavations conducted by the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Lazio and the tireless work of research and enhancement, promoted dall'Archeoclub of Italy section Mentana-Monterotondo were allowed to bring to light the road layout and various funeral buildings dated between I sec. B.C. and the first century. A.D.
The archaeological area, open on the second Sunday of each month or on request, is inserted inside the valuable nature reserve of Stain of Gattaceca. The materials found during archaeological excavations were included in the collection of the Archaeological Museum Territorial Monterotondo.
